The pricing below shows a farm’s price range for different types of visitors. It includes prices for all-day and half-day visits, playing inside or outside and any other ticket types the farm offers. If you’re bringing little ones, we define toddlers as aged 0-2yrs old but each farm defines them differently. Some split babies (0-1yrs old) and toddlers (1-3yrs old) so it’s best to check on-site before booking.

Are you wheelchair, pushchair or buggy friendly?

There is good disabled access around the farm park, including a changing places toilet and tarmacked paths.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

We have a changing places toilet with baby changing facilities.

Are you dog friendly?

We cannot permit dogs on site due to our free-roaming animals and for health and safety reasons. Guide dogs however are permitted.

Do you have free parking?

Yes, there is vast car parking on site and it’s FREE!

Do I have to book in advance?

We recommend buying your tickets online, to ensure optimum availability and to allow a steady flow of visitors arriving throughout the day. However, there will still be tickets to purchase ‘on the door’ on the day, subject to availability.

Can I feed the animals?

You can feed our animals as you walk round the farm and also take part in live hosted feedings with meerkats!

Can I pet the animals?

Get up close to pet a bunny rabbit, stroke a guinea pig, walk a sheep or alpaca and handle a tortoise (winters only).

Do you have any paid-for extras once inside?

Pony rides are £3.50 (when available) and Animal feed is £1.50

Yes we have designated picnic areas within the farm park, some are sheltered and heated.

Do you host birthday parties?

A Matlock Farm Park party is based on a two hour experience, consisting of approximately 75 minutes around the farm park enjoying private meerkat feeding, small animal petting and hand feeding of some of our lovely field animals, followed by 45 minutes in a dedicated party room to enjoy delicious party food.

Do you host school trips?

Yes, our school visits include a range of guided activities from our enthusiastic and experienced staff, as well as allowing pupils time to play in our exciting play areas.
