This privacy notice provides you with details of how we collect and process your personal data through your use of our site www.treehub.co.uk. Tree Hub (Tree Hub Farms Ltd) is the data controller and we are responsible for your personal data (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice).

When you sign up as a farm/location on the Tree Hub site, we will process some or all of the following categories of personal data about you:

User Data

This includes data such as email addresses, ip’s, etc… when you add a farm/location to our site. We process this data to operate our website and to have a way of getting in touch with you if we have questions about the farm/location you have submitted. Our lawful ground for processing this information is “legitimate interest” which in this case is to properly administer the site and ensure the accuracy of the information we display to our website visitors.

Communication Data

This includes records of communications you send to us. If you contact us through email, our website contact form or any other means, we process this data for the purposes of communicating with you, record keeping and for the establishment, pursuance or defence of any legal claims. Our lawful ground for process this information is “legitimate interest” which in this case is the ability to communicate back to you when you get in touch as well as defence against any potential legal claims.

Customer Data

This includes details of the subscription you take out in order to be a part of our site such as company name, billing address, email address, contact details, subscription level and invoicing/payments details. We process this data to ensure we are paid in line with your agreement with us and our lawful ground for processing this information is “Contract”, specifically the enforcement of the contract between you and us when you pay to be listed on the site.

Marketing Data

This includes data on when you want to be contacted by us. You can opt in to hearing about on-site opportunities to increase your farm/location’s exposure to our website visitors. Our lawful ground for processing this information is “Consent” and we will only share these opportunities with you if you opt in.

Sensitive Data

We do not collect any data about you relating to ethnicity or race, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, health status, biometrics, criminal convictions or any other sensitive data.

Where we are required to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of the contract between us and you do not provide us with that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to deliver goods or services to you). If you don’t provide us with the requested data, we may have to cancel a product or service you have ordered but if we do, we will notify you at the time.

We will only use your personal data for a purpose it was collected for or a reasonably compatible purpose if necessary. How Do We Collect Data?

Any data we have about you comes from one of two sources:

  2. 2) Data we receive (pseudonymised) from Google Analytics

We may also receive data from publicly availably sources such as Companies House.

When Will We Contact You?

We will contact you in line with the preferences you select when you sign up to our site.

Our lawful ground of processing your personal data to send you marketing communications is either your consent or our legitimate interests (for us to provide the website).

For tax purposes the law requires us to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they stop being customers.

All other personal data will be held for a maximum of three years
