About the Farm:

West Coast Alpacas is a family-run Alpaca Trekking Centre located in the picturesque Kelburn Estate along the banks of the Clyde, just 45 minutes from Glasgow and 1.5 hours from Edinburgh. Our center offers a variety of alpaca-related activities including treks through secluded parkland and meet-and-greet feed sessions that are accessible to wheelchair users. We also cater to special events such as weddings and parties, and offer unique alpaca-themed merchandise like soft toys and hand-knitted headbands.

Our Alpaca Treks invite guests to walk one of our alpacas through the estate’s parkland. These 50-minute sessions are designed for all ages, although they require a moderate level of fitness due to uneven terrain. For those looking for a gentler experience, our 30-minute Alpaca Feed sessions allow you to get close to our alpacas in a more accessible setting. We also offer the same experiences with our pygmy goats, including goat treks and petting sessions.

The pricing below shows a farm’s price range for different types of visitors. It includes prices for all-day and half-day visits, playing inside or outside and any other ticket types the farm offers. If you’re bringing little ones, we define toddlers as aged 0-2yrs old but each farm defines them differently. Some split babies (0-1yrs old) and toddlers (1-3yrs old) so it’s best to check on-site before booking.

Are you wheelchair, pushchair or buggy friendly?

We can tailor our experiences to wheel chair users- please message if you have any special requests. Generally speaking, our treks are not wheelchair and pram accessible as they are over bumpy terrain but the feeding and meeting/greeting sessions are much more manageable.
