Falconry Experience Wales, near Newtown in Mid Wales, offers hands-on opportunities to interact with birds of prey. You can handle and fly a variety of these magnificent birds, including owls and eagles, getting a close look at their behavior and beauty. Visitors can also enjoy special encounters like learning about different species up close, or even spending a full day with a wildlife expert, discovering the fascinating world of raptors. All visits are by appointment, and personalized experiences are available to suit your interests.

The pricing below shows a farm’s price range for different types of visitors. It includes prices for all-day and half-day visits, playing inside or outside and any other ticket types the farm offers. If you’re bringing little ones, we define toddlers as aged 0-2yrs old but each farm defines them differently. Some split babies (0-1yrs old) and toddlers (1-3yrs old) so it’s best to check on-site before booking.

Unfortunately due to the layout of the ground it can be difficult for wheelchairs. We can tailor each experience so if you prefer one with limited walking, that is possible.

The minimum age for our experiences is 7 years old and we can not facilitate baby changing.

Strictly no dogs are allowed on our premises. This can cause stress to the birds

Yes we have lots of free parking

We are not open to the general public. Visiting is strictly by appointment/booking only.

You feed the birds rewards as part of your falconry experience

You will handle the birds during your falconry experience

There are no paid-for extras after you have booked

Most experiences will last a couple of hours in the afternoon and we therefore do not have means to support a picnic
