About the Farm:

Tweddle Farm is a Children’s Animal Farm in Durham that offers a variety of activities and attractions for families and children. Visitors can enjoy engaging play areas, tractor and barrel rides, and opportunities to feed and interact with animals. The farm hosts special events such as Easter egg hunts and a Christmas grotto, which add to the entertainment value.

With visits lasting between a few hours and half a day, the farm is open daily 10am – 5pm with last admissions at 3pm and they provide facilities for picnics as well as a simple on-site cafe serving takeaway food.

The pricing below shows a farm’s price range for different types of visitors. It includes prices for all-day and half-day visits, playing inside or outside and any other ticket types the farm offers. If you’re bringing little ones, we define toddlers as aged 0-2yrs old but each farm defines them differently. Some split babies (0-1yrs old) and toddlers (1-3yrs old) so it’s best to check on-site before booking.

Are you wheelchair, pushchair or buggy friendly?

Yes, the farm is wheelchair and pushchair friendly. We have ramps into our buildings and our tractor ride is wheelchair accessible too.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Don’t worry about finding somewhere to change your little ones, we have baby change facilities.

Are you dog friendly?

While we do love dogs, for the safety of our animals and customers, we do not allow customer’s dogs onto the farm.

Do you have free parking?

Parking is free for all users. The car park is located in front of the farm.

Do I have to book in advance?

Bookings are mandatory for weekends and school holidays

Can I feed the animals?

Tweddle Farm is home to many different animals of all shapes and sizes! You can meet them at our daily petting sessions and feed them at your own leisure.

Can I pet the animals?

We always have lots of friendly animals in our Baby Barn petting centre. We rotate the animals so they are constantly changing but usually you will find sheep and lambs, goats and kids, miniature donkeys, calves, hens and chicks and birds. Sometimes you might find alpacas, llamas, ponies or pigs.
